In 2013, our life began to shift. Something was missing. Our souls were longing for something deeper. So, we began to pray and seek the Lord's direction for the next chapter of our journey and He quickly showed us we would be serving the precious people of Ecuador, full-time. We entered into a season of refinement and in 2016 we sold our small business in the United States, launched a non-profit, Lead by Serving, Inc. and moved to South America to pursue our call to mission work.
After volunteering and serving the precious Ecuadorian communities for 2 years we felt we needed a way to fund more of our ministry projects, support the local economy and the beautifully, talented artisans striving to overcome poverty, and provide sustainable income for our family...and Costa Sierra was born.
We have spent many hours with artisans who are striving to provide a healthy life for their families. We have also spent time with various ministry partners who teach women who have been rescued from sex trafficking and exploitation skills to better their future. We are thrilled to be working with such amazing partners to bring our customers amazing, hand-crafted products!
